"We resided in the valley, and travel to Lower Hutt to visit our family. With the underslip that occurred on 7th October, the hill has been under urgent repair, initially to opened both ways at the of October, but NZTA realised that initial date wasn't achievable, pushing the date out to 9th December. Latest update it will fully opened just prior to Christmas. Can't believe that fully laden trucks are still permitted to use the road in both directions!!"
