"As a daily commuter/ driver for the last 14 years over the Remutaka hill road, I no longer deem this road fit for purpose. The hill road was not designed for the volume of traffic and the large truck and trailers units that can barely navigate around the corners. Crashes, diesel spills,rock falls, breakdowns are just some of the everyday incidents that happen on this treacherous road."
