I support that our government thinks about the long-term growth of the Wairarapa district by increasing a viable and safe route that people can use alternatively from the Remutaka Ranges. The current road layout is the only connection between Wairarapa and Wellington. We need a good route for trucks to move products, to people to leave and uplift rural communities, for visitors to explore and be safe on the road.
